Patrick Rothfuss’s book, The Name of the Wind, is a wonderful book that takes you through the path of the maturing Kvothe. Although the book starts slow, the pacing after the first fifty pages is wonderful. The whole setting of the book, and the story within the story makes for an extra layer that is very welcomed. Having Kvothe tell his story of his past, begins a great dynamic of switching between the present time in the inn, and his past story.

Then it can never be your weakness.” In a world recovering from an incredible revolution, there is finally a time of peace. But what happens when people start to realize all the hidden issues within their kingdom? Their new king is a drunkard, and his queen seems just a little too interested in her brother. While the council is filled with incompetent lords squabbling over trivial matters, a true danger begins to make itself known in the far north.

Kelsier is the famed Survivor of Hathsin. He Snapped, coming into his powers and escaping the pits where the Lord Ruler of their realm sent him to die after his criminal activities. Summary: After escaping from Sadeas’s camp with Dalinar’s aid, Kaladin has everything
